ESPA at Acqualina is ESPA's first branded spa in the United States. This tropical 20,000 square foot spa spans two stories on a spectacular South Florida oceanfront setting overlooking the white sands and blue waters of the Atlantic ocean.
ESPA worked together with Miami designer Isabel Saavedra-Tragash to create the concept and design for this architecturally strong, modernist 5-star Spa. ESPA were retained throughout the build phase, staff recruitment and training, and the pre-opening stages of the project and will continue with a management contract of the Spa.
The interior design incorporates materials in keeping with the beach-front locale such as use of mother of pearl and sea grass wall coverings, driftwood artwork and a Capiz shell hanging sculpture, mosaic tiles evocative of beach glass and accessories shaped as sea urchins or made of mother-of-pearl. These natural materials and shapes are complimented by the crisp white upholstery fabrics so appropriate in the intense Florida light. Throughout the spa the play of water and the natural reflective seaside light is maximized so that our guests might benefit physically from the location and naturally relax.
