Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque is Tenerife’s finest hotel and is located at the Adeje coast on the southern side of the island. ESPA worked directly with Bahia del Duque and alongside Madrid designer Pascua Ortega to flawlessly create every aspect of the modern spa design.
The Bahia del Duque brief was to take full advantage of the tranquil setting, the wonderful climate, natural landscape and availability of sea water to create an exquisite contemporary design that mirrors the local environment and encapsulates a unique Indoor-Outdoor Thalassotherapy Spa.
The use of local elements extends to the bespoke treatments and exclusive rituals, using indigenous marine extracts, lava rocks for hot stone massage and aloe vera for soothing and healing treatments. The unique Thalssotherapy treatment suites provide a selection of treatments which use the therapeutic benefits of Tenerife sea water to help improve muscle tone, circulation and immune system, or aid weight loss and detoxification. Mineral-rich Tenerife seawater, seaweed, mud and algae are used in this sophisticated ritual for their toning, detoxifying, balancing and stress relieving benefits to mind and body.
